Adopt a Great Pyrenees / Mixed (long coat)

Great Pyrenees / Mixed (long coat) Dog

Ivory the Dog needs a home

MYM Designation: Constant Companion

** Be sure to watch her videos below to see what a lovely dog she really is! **  NO Kitties**

Ivory is a gorgeous, exceptionally sweet, loving beautiful purebred Great Pyr who loves all her foster siblings, adores children making her a “Bona-Fide Kid Lover” & all people. Ivory is on the petite side for a Great Pyr weighing only 73 lbs. She is truly a beloved favorite here at LnF Dog Rescue & with anyone who is lucky enough to meet her in person.

When she was on the transport on her way to DE from KY she stopped at a family’s home in Ohio to stay overnight. They had a young boy & she just quivered with joy at seeing him. Next, she laid on the floor next to him & squished up as to him so she could get as close to him as possible.  Did she have her own kids in her other life in KY? We don’t know, but we do know now that she’s starting over,  Ivory would be happiest to be adopted by a family that is experienced with large breed dogs with lots of hair & her greatest joy would be to have her very own children or grandchildren to love & play with every day. I know she is the kind of dog who would give her life to protect her family.  She’s very calm & very lady-like & walks beautifully on a leash unless a squirrel happens to be running by so you must keep that in mind when taking her for walks.

There is a photo below that shows what she looked when she was dropped off at a very high kill shelter in KY – you can see she’s heartbroken

We’re sure due to lack of proper care in KY - she did come to the rescue with a medical issue in that she tested positive for Lyme, Ehrlichiosis, and Anaplasma. It’s only that she tested positive, but she no symptoms. Ivory has already completed an aggressive treatment plan with 6 full weeks of Doxycycline & she is not sick at all and our Vet has given her a full clean bill of health.

If she sounds like the kind of young lady you would love to bring into your life be sure to read our adoption requirements & if you can meet or exceed them, you can apply here at my website.  All LnF pups/dogs have been temperament tested & live in foster homes ~ All pups and dogs have been housebroken (puppies are paper trained) & crated trained ~ All pups/dogs have been Microchipped ~ Tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia & Lyme ~ Each dog is on Heartworm Medication year-round while in our care ~ Up to date with Rabies ~ Distemper, Parvo & Leptospirosis vaccines ~ Wormed.
